Steep hill downwards ahead (10%)
A red triangle with a downward-pointing slope and the gradient warns of a steep descent. Brake gently before the descent, then engage a lower gear so engine braking helps slow you. Don't ride the brakes the whole way down — they overheat and lose effectiveness. For a 10% gradient, second gear is often sensible.
