Adverse camber on a bend or roundabout

Warning signs

Adverse camber on a bend or roundabout

Warning that the road slopes the wrong way on a bend or roundabout, reducing grip – especially dangerous when wet or icy. You should reduce speed and avoid sudden steering inputs. This sign is common on older rural roads and roundabouts. In hazard perception it tests whether you anticipate reduced grip and adjust your driving accordingly. Adverse camber can cause vehicles to slide outwards on bends.
