Loose chippings on road ahead

A red triangle with a car throwing up stones warns that the road has been freshly resurfaced and the surface is still loose. Slow down — chippings reduce grip, especially in bends and under braking — and leave more space behind the vehicle in front so you don't catch a flying stone in your windscreen.
