Bend ahead to the left

Warning signs

Bend ahead to the left

Sharp left-hand bend ahead. Reduce your speed before you reach it, not in the middle of the bend. Position yourself slightly to the right of your lane on the approach for a better view. This sign is common on country roads, hilly areas, and any time the road takes a turn sharper than a gentle curve. In hazard perception it tests whether you anticipate the bend and adjust speed and position early.
