Ahead only sign

Regulatory signs

Ahead only

A blue circle with a white arrow pointing straight ahead. This is a mandatory instruction – you must continue straight on and may not turn left or right at the junction ahead. Ignoring it is an automatic fail on the practical test. This sign is common at T-junctions where turning is banned, one-way street entrances, and junctions where side roads are residents-only or pedestrianised. In the theory test it tests your understanding of mandatory signs.
